Link4, a Peppol-accredited e-Invoicing solution provider, has signed an agreement with SLS Bearings, a leading supplier of mechanical systems and components, to implement a streamlined invoicing system. The collaboration highlights SLS Bearings’ commitment to adopting smarter technologies and gaining a competitive edge in Singapore’s evolving digital economy.
Singapore is a regional leader in digital transformation, with initiatives like InvoiceNow, introduced by Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), encouraging businesses to adopt e-Invoicing through the Peppol network. This system allows companies to exchange invoices directly between accounting systems, eliminating manual processes, reducing errors, and speeding up payment cycles.
IMDA also announced that all government agencies in Singapore are now equipped to receive e-Invoices through the InvoiceNow network. Vendors working with these agencies are required to submit e-Invoices via the Accountant-General’s Department (AGD) Peppol ID, which automatically routes invoices to the appropriate agency based on the Business Unit (BU) or Sub-BU listed.
As a customer, SLS Bearings will adopt Link4’s e-Invoicing solution to modernise its invoicing practices. Using the Peppol network, the system ensures invoices are securely delivered, enabling faster processing, reducing administrative tasks, and improving cash flow management.
Robin Sands, CEO of Link4, said, “It is encouraging to see forward-thinking businesses like SLS Bearings leverage e-Invoicing to enhance operations and prepare for the future. By being part of the Peppol network, they can achieve greater efficiency, improved accuracy, and faster payments. We are thrilled to support their journey as Singapore continues to embrace e-Invoicing.”
For SLS Bearings, this decision reflects its focus on improving operations and delivering better outcomes for its partners and customers. The move to e-Invoicing offers practical benefits, such as simplified processes and stronger supplier relationships.
Bruce Tan, Director at SLS Bearings Singapore, said, “Switching to e-Invoicing is a smart business decision. It streamlines our invoicing process, enhances operational efficiency, and ensures faster payment cycles. By using the Peppol network and an e-Invoicing solution like Link4, we’re strengthening the way we work with our partners and positioning ourselves for continued success.”
The work between Link4 and SLS Bearings underscores how businesses in Singapore are embracing e-Invoicing to stay competitive in an increasingly digital landscape. By focusing on operational efficiency and innovation, this connection reflects the growing importance of technology in driving business success.
Looking ahead, the government’s “Five Corner” model, set to launch in 2025, will introduce enhanced reporting requirements for B2B transactions and non-e-Invoice data. This framework aims to further solidify Singapore’s position as a hub for efficient, technology-driven business practices.
